--A resort review by Marty Giggard

I recently visited an older resort in Georgia that has spent so much money fixing up that I thought it deserved a special timeshare article.

We visited Tybrisa Beach Resort in December 2003, driving out to Tybee Island from Savannah Georgia.

Tybrisa Resort had a special assessment and has been in the process of updating its buildings and units for several years and has done a great job.

Overview of Tybrisa Beach Resort

Tybrisa Beach Resort is just steps away from the beach, pier and ocean. Each 2-Bedroom Villa has 2 full baths and sleeps six. All condominiums have an oceanfront balcony with patio furniture.

New wall to wall carpet has been installed in each unit. Each unit has a washer & dryer and all linens are provided. On site parking is also provided. The exterior of all buildings have been painted with ceramic paint which has a 25-year life span.

The resort has also recently replaced all beachside sliding glass doors & windows.

In 2002 the resort switched from Cable TV to Satellite TV and replaced the fire alarm system. The resort completed the replacement by installing new equipment and rewiring the entire system. With all the salt air and being an exterior system, everything had to be replaced to insure the safety of all.

Tybrisa has an Outdoor Pool, with new pool furniture placed in service in 2002

Bedrooms

The Master Bedroom is painted a pastel shade of light rose with a sliding glass window and blue floral drapes. It has a nice view of the beach, pier and ocean.

The Second Bedroom is painted a pastel shade of light rose with a sliding glass window and mini blinds with a blue topper. This bedroom has two twin beds with a night stand and lamp, blue floral bed spreads and Gold frame pictures.

Living Room & Dining Area, with Ceiling Fan and Light

The Living Room sofa has a queen size sleeper, coffee table and rattan bookshelf-style TV stand. New sliding glass doors lead out to the balcony.

The Dining Room table was a light oak color with four rattan chairs. The kitchen was bright and clean with almond Tybee pier and pavilioncolored appliances, completely furnished with utensils, dishes, pots & pans, microwave, dishwasher and a full size refrigerator.

In conclusion

Tybrisa Beach Resort is a great place for your next beach vacation. Relax or walk along the beach or just sit and watch the ocean. From the Tybee Island Lighthouse to the Fort Pulaski National Monument (National Park) Tybee Island is a beautiful area and Coastal Georgia has something for everyone.
