Live on the West Coast and want to see a real, southern paddlewheel boat? Visiting the coastal
area and want a wonderful dining experience? Then make a reservation at the Riverboat Restaurant and enjoy! Open
Tuesday through Sunday for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
Located in beautiful Newport Beach, the Riverboat Restaurant is anchored in the bay with beautiful views of
the water. I can't imagine a more beautiful sight then watching the sun dip down over the horizon and the evening
sparkle on the water as you enjoy a delicious meal.
Reservations are definitely required for this experience. While there is only a very small lounge/bar area, be
sure to visit the Newport Harbor Nautical Museum while on board if it is open during your visit. You can also walk
all around the Riverboat on and experience that wonderful ocean air prior to or after your delicious meal. Stand
there on deck and imagine yourself cruising on the mighty Mississippi passing all the ante bellum estates.
Hey, wait a minute! Enjoy the fact that you are in beautiful, sunny California!
On Saturday evenings there may even be live music…perhaps you'll be lucky enough to have a guitarist play songs
from the 80's (Beach Boys, Surfin' Safari, Love songs, etc.) that will just add to the ambiance of a restaurant
located in Southern California. Maybe a singer will join in and add some beautiful lyrics to the music, which only
enhances the experience. You could even request a special song if you want.
Service is great! The waiter/waitresses are quite attentive to your needs, and they truly serve you with a smile.
But remember, smiling is contagious and that will only add to your experience! You'll notice most people are happy
to be at the Riverboat Restaurant.
Entrees range from $14.00 for Casino Calamari Steak to $17.00 for Bourbon Street Prime Rib maxing out at $18.00
for Dr. VooDoo Jambalaya or French Quarter Rack of Lamb (fish is served also). Their prime rib is so tender &
juicy and the fish items are prepared fresh. Most items are ala carte, but the bread isn't and it's wonderful!
Have some special needs? Allergies to special foods? Let your waitress/waiter know and they will be happy to accommodate
you if they can.
See you at the Riverboat!
