The Fairfield Newport Overlook is a Hidden
Gem
--A resort review by Marty Giggard
Just wanted to let everyone know how much we enjoyed
our stay at The Fairfield Overlook in Jamestown, Rhode Island. We loved the location of our unit and enjoyed looking
at the Narragansett Bay and Newport Harbor. Date of our Newport vacation: September 2 - 9, 2006. The weather was
very nice - temps in the mid seventies.

We had a wonderful view of the Pell Bridge. The bridge is featured on the back of the RI quarters. The Bridge is
the real attraction. In the morning the sun comes up from the east and is behind the bridge towers. In the evening
the full moon sits behind the tower and reflects on the water. The views from Newport Overlook are beautiful. We
could not have asked for a better location!
If you have ever ridden across the Pell Bridge west-bound RT 138, you can look down from the bridge and see the
Fairfield Overlook (Look over the bridge to the right side - just before the toll plaza). You can purchase tokens
for $1.00 instead of paying the $2.00 toll.
Here is a Brief Description of the townhouse we stayed in:
Two Story Townhouse, End Of Group overlooking the Pell Bridge
Our unit # 19: 2 Bedrooms & 2 1/2 Baths
Superior Unit - Directly on the Waterfront
Each unit has two decks - one off the Master Bedroom with 2 chairs; Another off the living room with a table and
chairs and chaise lounge. Every unit has a Bar-B-Q Grille.
From our first floor and second floor decks and windows we could see the bay - water - bridge - and surrounding
areas.
As you entered the unit: On the First floor we had a Full Kitchen (Refrigerator with Ice Maker -
Electric Stove - Counter Top Micro Wave); Laundry Room with W/D; Half Bath; Large Living Room and Dining Room Combo
painted pastel yellow; Wood Dining Room Table with Six (Hard) Chairs with Cloth Seats; Nice size Television - VCR
- (No DVD Player) - Stereo - Phone.
Upstairs on the second level:
Guest Bedroom facing the front (parking lot and pool view), Two Twin Beds - TV - Closets - Bathroom just
outside the bedroom door
Master Bedroom facing the back (water & bridge view), One King Size Bed - TV - Walk in Closet - Bathroom
outside the bedroom door
The carpet in our unit was light blue with dark blue swirl designs in it.
NOTE: No Hot Tub or Whirlpool Tub, just standard Bathrooms. No Garage (some of the units up the hill have
a one car garage).

Famous timeshare traveler Little Lucky, the long eared bunny rabbit, and his many friends have been timesharing for five years. He loves to travel
to timeshares and reports his travels back to timeshare travelers everywhere.
Little Lucky recently visited Fairfield Newport Overlook and Newport,
Rhode Island. Rhode Island's a great place for vacations. It's
full of history and culture and natural history.
Little Lucky gives the Newport Overlook (RCI #0919) Jamestown,
Rhode Island his paw print of approval.
Little Lucky has traveled nearly 100,000 miles and has visited 17 states from Massachusetts to Florida. He loves

Free Local Calls - Free Dial Up - High Speed Internet for a Fee.
There are no planned activities on site, but there is an Outdoor Pool and Hot Tub; a swing & a kids play area
and a Coca Cola (Coke) Soda Machine.
Note that if you arrive any time other than on Saturday you have to check in & out at the Fairfield Bon
Voyage in Jamestown.
Fairfield Overlook is a very hard RCI exchange as there are only 19 townhouse timeshare units!
Be sure to visit the Historic Newport Mansions. The Newport Mansions are beautiful but some close the first
week of Sept. During our vacation, we toured The Breakers, The
Elms, Chepstow, Green Animals, Hunter
House, Isaac Bell House,
Kingscote and Rosecliff.
