Cloobeck
Biographical Sketch
Stephen J. Cloobeck is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Resorts International as
well as the Founder and Director of Cloobeck Enterprises, Inc. and Managing General Partner for Polo Towers and
Polo Plaza on the Las Vegas strip. He has extensive knowledge of development construction, facilities, operations
and management of timeshare resorts, hotels, retail shopping centers, office and apartment buildings. Stephen
conceived and coordinated the development of the Polo Towers Resort and Plaza, which has become the #1 Vacation
Ownership Resort in Las Vegas.
After graduating with a degree on Psychobiology from Brandeis University in 1983, Mr. Cloobeck focused his career
in the real estate business.
Mr. Cloobeck is also very active politically on the local, state and national levels.
He is a member of the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) and serves on the Board of Directors of
the Nevada Hotel & Motel Association. Additionally, he is involved with and serves many charities and
organizations such as Cap Cure, Kids Charities.org, the Police Athletic League, Boy Scouts of America, Inner City
Games and the United Way.
Currently, Mr. Cloobeck is spearheading the fight against the Federal Government’s proposal to site a high level
nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain, which is 90 miles northwest of Las Vegas.
Stephen is a dynamic leader who demands nothing but the best in his products and service. A devoted husband
and father, as evidenced by the play area in his executive offices, he runs Diamond Resorts International as if
every employee and associate was a family member.
