"Words are a form of action, capable of influencing
change. Their articulation represents a complete, lived experience." -Ingrid Bengis-
As the concluding days of December 2002 one by one slowly fade away
it's not all that uncommon for each of us to look forward to a brand new day.
If things have been going positive most of us will hope for more of the same
and as we move ahead our efforts will bring us things like fortune and fame.
However, if most of the past months, even years, have not been so very good
recognize that your aspirations for things to get better are clearly understood.
No matter what happened yesterday, tomorrow will put each of us to the test
it's time to forget about bad times and start putting those past events to rest.
Go ahead and enjoy the holiday season with each family member and friend
so that you can make each day count while waiting for 2002 to finally end.
Do spend some time reviewing the past year and those of recent history
considering it's not beneficial if all that transpired back then, remains a mystery.
Forget New Year's resolutions, however do make some plans that you can keep
all the while remembering that old maxim: 'What you sow shall you reap!'
If misfortunes have occurred in the past, be sure you don't plant bitter seeds
because if it's a flower garden you have planned, it may well be mostly weeds.
However, if good things have happened recall they weren't totally by chance
you did take those lessons, practice, got all dressed up and went to the dance.
Thinking outside of the box will help prepare for what the new day will bring
and now that you've proved you know how to dance, why not learn how to sing?
Your attitude can allow you to approach all the tomorrows with good cheer
or it can cause you to spend all your time at the local bar, crying in your beer.
The bottom line is all your tomorrows will be what you make them become
by simply waking up every morning and being excited about what is to come.
Take that first deep breath tomorrow morning and be glad that you are alive
then with every subsequent breath you take, try to gain poise, focus and drive.
For those three coupled with spirit and wisdom will propel you well on your way
to maximizing every chance 2003 affords, when exposed at the dawn of a new day.
