ILX RESORTS STRENGTHENS SALES AND MARKETING LEADERSHIP

ILX Resorts Incorporated (AMEX: ILX), a leading developer, operator and marketer of upscale vacation ownership resorts in the Western United States, announced this week the addition of two senior sales and marketing executives. Effective March 1, 1999, Don Denton and Alan Tucker joined the Company as Executive Vice Presidents of Sales and Marketing, respectively.
Denton rejoins the Company after a year and a half absence during which he pursued personal business ventures. Denton resumes the position he previously held as on-site General Sales Manager of the Company's largest sales office, located at Los Abrigados Resort & Spa in Sedona, Arizona. In his new role as Executive Vice President of Sales, Denton takes on the additional responsibilities of oversight of the general sales operations of the Company's other resort sites.

Tucker, a twenty-year veteran of the vacation ownership industry, commences a new role with ILX Resorts as Executive Vice President of Vacation Ownership Marketing. Tucker has provided consulting services to the Company during the past year and had previously been an officer and employee of the Company serving in various sales and marketing capacities from 1991 to 1995. Tucker will be responsible for tour generation to all ILX Resorts sales offices.

The Company owns, operates and markets interests in five resort properties in Arizona and Colorado, as well as two Varsity Clubs of America properties, one in Indiana (adjacent to the University of Notre Dame) and one in Tucson, Arizona (within three miles of the University of Arizona).
