Radisson Hotels Worldwide has announced the March 15 addition of an oceanfront, all-suite resort in Palm Beach Shores on Singer Island, Fla. Formerly an Embassy Suites Hotel and then an independent property, the hotel will be renamed Radisson Palm Beach Shores Resort and Vacation Villas, A Great Vacations Resort Club. This new Radisson Resort also represents the company's first entry into the vacation ownership business, a strategy which was announced late last year by its parent company Carlson Hospitality Worldwide with the creation of Carlson Vacation Ownership, Inc. to tap this growing segment.

Radisson Palm Beach Shores Resort is owned by a partnership with Bruce M. Goldstein and Great Vacation Resorts. Great Vacation Resorts is an experienced resort timeshare development company with two other timeshare resorts in the United States.

The resort will be linked to Carlson Hospitality Worldwide's state-of-the-art global reservations system and benefit from Radisson's marketing and sales services.

The Radisson Palm Beach Shores Resort and Vacation Villas, the only all-suite hotel directly on the beach in Palm Beach County, features 257 spacious guest suites. Each suite features a private bedroom and a separate living room with a walkout balcony, oversized bath and a private balcony for lounging. Most suites have ocean views.

Suite amenities include a hair dryer, iron, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, wet bar, dining table, sofa-bed, two color televisions, two telephones, in room cable, movies on command and Nintendo. The resort also offers two-bedroom suites, executive conference suites and 11 suites designed for physically challenged travelers. Children under 13 stay free in the same suite with parents.

Vacation ownership units include suite amenities sought after by the leisure customer, including a kitchen, upgraded furniture and furnishings and a complete entertainment center.

Meeting facilities include over 8,000 square feet of flexible meeting space featuring two oceanfront boardrooms. Recreational facilities include a tropically landscaped, oceanfront courtyard with an outdoor heated sculptured pool, a whirlpool, sauna, oceanfront fitness and massage center, and a video arcade.
The resort also features a year-round Fat Cat Beach Club for kids with an Activities Director to coordinate one-day excursions, spouse programs and other daily activities.

Carlson Vacation Ownership's overall growth strategy focuses on the licensing of vacation ownership properties under Carlson Hospitality Worldwide's global hotel brands. Carlson Hospitality Worldwide is the first global hospitality company to offer multi-brand, multi-tier franchising in the vacation ownership industry.
