Bluegreen Corporation , a leading U.S. developer and marketer of timeshare resorts and residential land, opened
a new off-site timeshare sales office in Louisville, Kentucky, earlier this year that gives a whole new meaning
to in-flight service.
Dubbed "Bluegreen Air,'' the centerpiece of the new sales offices is a replica of the inside of a 747 jumbo
jet. After checking in at the ticket counter and enjoying refreshments at the members-only lounge, passengers board
the "plane", make themselves comfortable in the real first class airline seats and settle in for a virtual
tour of Bluegreen's resort properties. Three separate streams of video and six separate streams of Dolby sound
surround passengers as they view ski resorts, beaches and the Company's film on its points-based vacation club
program.
George F. Donovan, President and CEO of Bluegreen, commented that the purpose of the new sales environment is,
"...to make the sales experience an enjoyable one for potential customers, allowing them to relax and absorb
the variety and value that Bluegreen offers."
Bluegreen is one of the leading companies engaged in the acquisition, development, marketing and sale of timeshare
resorts and residential land. The Company's timeshare resorts are located in a variety of popular vacation destinations
including the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Charleston, South Carolina; Branson,
Missouri; Orlando, Florida; Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; Charlottesville, VA; and Aruba, while its land operations
are predominantly located in the Southeastern and Southwestern United States.
