Press Release: Marriott International, Inc.
WASHINGTON, Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE: MAR) has been named one of the 50 "Great
Places to Work,'' according to the Nov. issue of Washingtonian magazine.
"Marriott is pleased to be recognized by Washingtonian magazine,'' said Brendan Keegan, executive vice president,
human resources. "We are very proud of our associates, and pleased that we have helped to make Marriott one
of the best places to work not only in the Washington, D.C., area, but nationwide as well.''
Marriott was cited for its career development, associate recognition and performance-based bonus programs. In addition,
the company's international headquarters was recognized for its childcare and fitness centers. The publication
also mentioned that associates have access to gasoline pumps, movie rentals, dry cleaning and a post office.
Washingtonian's "Great Places to Work'' list was compiled through a questionnaire sent to area companies,
nonprofit organizations, government agencies, law firms and universities. The questionnaire asked about benefits,
work atmosphere, motivational efforts, community involvement, turnover and other workplace-related issues.
In Sept., Marriott was also listed as one of the "100 Best Companies for Working Mothers'' by Working Mother
magazine.
