SILVER SPRING, MD -- Sunburst Hospitality Corporation (NYSE: SNB), one of the country's leading hotel owners and
managers, announced the opening of its 20th extended-stay hotel this week with the opening of MainStay Suites hotels
in Raleigh, North Carolina and Malvern, Pennsylvania.
Sunburst's extended-stay hotels offer a mid-priced lodging alternative for guests who wish to have home-like amenities
while traveling. The Company also reported that it has opened four newly developed, extended-stay hotels so far
this year and has an additional four extended-stay hotels under development.
Don Landry, Sunburst's CEO, commented, ``The mid-priced, extended-stay segment is the fastest growing segment in
the lodging industry. Increases in demand are outpacing increases in supply and we are experiencing very positive
consumer reception.''
Sunburst's newest hotels are located at 2601 Appliance Court, Raleigh, North Carolina and 8 East Swedesford Road,
Malvern, Pennsylvania. The hotels are managed by John Kilmartin and Stacy Kemp, respectively.
