www.tourisme-alsace.com Launches on October 15th
October 12, 1999
SAN MATEO, CA -- The Alsace Regional Tourist Office (www.tourisme-alsace.com),
representing one of the most popular vacation destinations in France, will launch an online reservation program
beginning October 15th that allows web visitors to find and reserve rooms at regional hotels.
This innovative service is the result of an agreement between the Alsace Regional Tourist Office and WorldRes.com(TM),
an online hotel distribution network for leisure travel.
Advantages for both net surfers and hoteliers
Surfers browsing the Alsace RTO site will, at the click of a button, be able to access the RTO's hotel database
and view property information. Using WorldRes.com's extensive search features, travelers will be able to enter
desired dates of travel and other criteria, and receive a list of available hotels corresponding to their needs.
They will then be able to select a hotel, make a secure reservation using a credit card and receive immediate confirmation.
Properties join WorldRes.com for free and pay only a low transaction fee for each confirmed reservation. WorldRes.com
creates Web pages for each property that feature photographs and detailed descriptions, including services and
amenities, local attractions, directions and more.
Hotels for all tastes and purposes
All types of accommodations can be found on www.tourisme-alsace.com -- from four star hotels such as the Hostelry
Le Marechal and Hotel Europe in Colmar, the Hostelry des Chateaux in Ottrott, the Hotel Kanzel in Blebenheim, the
Chateau de l'Ile in Ostwald, the Holiday Holiday Inn and the Regent Petite France in Strasbourg to a large selection
of hotels from the Logis de France.
