ATLANTA, GA -- Atlanta-based Jameson Inns, Inc. (Nasdaq:JAMS ), owner of Jameson Inn and Signature Inn hotels, announces the opening of the Jameson Inn in Lake City, Florida, approximately 50 miles south of the Georgia border.

The 56-room property is the first Jameson Inn to open in Florida and features upgraded amenities unique to the new interior-corridor design.

"We will continue development of the new interior corridor design Jameson Inn with further expansion in Florida and existing states this year,'' states Chairman and CEO, Tom Kitchin. "We now have hotels operating in 13 states throughout the Southeast and Midwest.''

Located at 1393 Commerce Boulevard off Interstate 75 at U.S. 90, the Lake City property is the first Jameson Inn to open in Florida. The company has three additional hotels under construction there in Jacksonville, Ormond Beach, and Crestview.

In addition to a free expanded continental breakfast and larger work stations in the guestrooms, the property features:
