KAUAI COCONUT BEACH ANNOUNCES NEW IMPROVEMENTS

Hawaiian Hotels & Resorts' full-service Kauai Coconut Beach Resort has undertaken a property improvement program focusing on its guest rooms and public areas.

As part of the new project, to be completed by December 1999, the 312-room resort fronting Waipouli Beach will be enhancing its partial ocean view, ocean view and ocean front guest rooms with new mirrors, bedspreads, thresholds and lamp shades.

New rollaway beds will be available, and guest room lanais will feature new tables and chairs.

New chaise lounges and chairs will be located around the Kauai Coconut Beach Resort's swimming pool, and the resort's lobby will receive a fresh coat of paint, new flagstone flooring, new hallway carpeting and custom-designed rugs.

In addition, a new awning will shade the on-property Voyage Room/Flying Lobster Restaurant's open-air dining area, and diners will have the chance to enjoy new menus created by acclaimed executive chef Marc Eilberg.

"With four wings extending from our lobby, we'll be able to complete all of the room upgrades with very little guest interruption, noted Ron Romano, general manager of the Kauai Coconut Beach Resort.

"We believe we have more to offer guests than any comparably priced resort hotel on Kauai, and our current property improvement project underscores our commitment to providing guests with the best value on the Royal Coconut Coast, Romano added.
