Travelers looking for a good meal on the road need not venture
any further than the lobby of their nearest Doubletree hotel. Beginning the week of March 16, all Doubletree hotels
throughout the country will be dishing up new and exciting menu items as part of its Chefs' Signature Series. The
Series will provide travelers with a variety of sumptuous offerings from French Blintzed Toast for breakfast to
a Smokin' Turkey Wrap and Roll Sandwich for lunch to Spiced Salmon with Grapefruit Mint Sauce for dinner.
Created by a culinary committee comprised of ten of Doubletree's chefs from around the country, the series includes
numerous breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees. The chefs took into consideration guest feedback, seasonal or regional
factors and general eating trends in the development of the newest flavors of Doubletree.
Three criteria provided the basis for choosing which items would be selected for the Series: flavor and presentation,
the ability to offer the entree at all Doubletree hotels throughout the country, and whether the item is a lighter
fare keeping health in mind.
"We recognize that our guests want food that fits today's diet demands and time constraints without having
to sacrifice flavor," said Paul Ryan, vice president of food and beverage operations for Promus Hotel Corporation,
the parent company of Doubletree. "From high fiber ginger pancakes to citric sauces, each of the new signature
items combine lighter fares with extremely distinctive flavor."
"Best of all, guests can enjoy these new menu offerings from the Chefs' Signature Series at each of the more
than 170 participating Doubletree hotels they visit throughout the country," Ryan added.
The new menu items will be presented to guests on a special china
designed specifically for the Chefs' Signature Series. In an effort to keep the offerings fresh and responsive
to feedback, the menu items will be rotated frequently.
The Chefs' Signature Series is one component of the chain's Flavors of
Doubletree comprehensive food and beverage program. "Our goal is to have Doubletree included in everyone's
top restaurant choices in every market in which we have hotels," said Ryan. "Doubletree has the industry's
premier chefs leading the charge to help us achieve this goal."
