BROOMFIELD, Colo.-- Just in time for the peak summer vacation and convention season, the Omni Interlocken Resort,
Denver-Boulder's newest luxury hotel, opened its doors to the public Friday, July 2, 1999. Located at U.S. 36 and
the 96th St. interchange in the Denver-Boulder corridor, the Omni Interlocken Resort features unparalleled amenities
and services and defines the best of the world-renowned Colorado lifestyle.
The $82.4 million resort showcases stunning views of the Rocky Mountains to the west and the high plains to the
east. From the 5,000 square-foot atrium lobby tiled in natural Colorado slate and sandstone to the grand stone
fireplace in the hotel's signature restaurant, Meritage, the Omni Interlocken Resort's warm, regional decor surrounds
guests in casual elegance.
Each of the 390 guest rooms features luxurious sitting areas, custom bedding and furnishings, minibars, marble
baths, guest robes, spectacular room views and in-room office areas complete with dual lines phones and state-of-the-art
high-speed Internet lines.
Attention to detail extends to the resort's dining establishments, as well. Guests can enjoy casual dining at Fairways,
located in the golf course clubhouse, soak up the unique atmosphere of The Tap Room, the resort's pub-style restaurant
or indulge in regional delicacies at Meritage, the hotel's signature restaurant specializing in wild game cuisine.
Rounding out the world-class amenities at the property is the 34,000 square feet of conference space including
10 meeting rooms, seven conference rooms, two ballrooms and an executive boardroom. The Omni Interlocken Resort
also features an on-site business center, audio and visual services, a full-service health club and spa, heated
swimming pool and more than 20 miles of running, hiking, and biking trails. In addition, the luxury resort offers
24-hour room service, concierge service, airport shuttle, laundry and dry cleaning service.
A highlight of the resort is the 27-hole championship course for golf enthusiasts. With 300 days of sunshine a
year, this $25 million course, scheduled to open September 1999, will include a driving range, multi-level putting
greens, and a chipping area. The full-service clubhouse will offer a complete selection of the latest equipment
and apparel.
"This is a great day for Omni Hotels and for the Denver-Boulder community, said Richard Maxfield, general
