KENYA: NORFOLK HOTEL IN NAIROBI COMPLETES MAJOR RENOVATION PROJECT

The 94-year-old Norfolk Hotel, Nairobi, has completed major renovations to the lobby, reception, Hibiscus Lounge
and the new Ibis Restaurant. The Lord Delamere Restaurant has also been completely refurbished and extended to
include a new patio for cocktail parties and small private dinner parties.
The Acacia Wing, opening August 1, comprises nine suites and 34 rooms. The suites are named after famous guests
who have stayed at The Norfolk: Lord Erroll, Dennis Finch-Hatton, Karen Von Blixen, Elspeth Huxley, Ernest Hemingway,
President Roosevelt, Mary Leakey, Harry Thuku, and, in honor of the first President of Kenya, H.E. Jomo Kenyatta.
The Pioneer Room and the North and South Ballroom have been completely. refurbished. There is also a new poolside
bar at the recently refurbished swimming pool.
Room rates start at $140 ppdo. The Norfolk Hotel is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World. It is one of seven
hotels in Kenya owned and managed by Lonrho Hotels.
