Show of All New Year's Shows' -- Two Incredible Nights With Bette Midler

LAS VEGAS--The millennium will kick off in style with one of the world's most gifted and accomplished performers
of our generation, Bette Midler.
From the moment Bette hits the stage, her natural talent and ability utilizes the audience by virtually bringing
everyone right up on stage with her. The New Year's Eve and January 1 shows promise all the glitz, glamour and
flamboyance of Bette Midler; not to mention Bette will be performing an all-new show. Both shows will begin at
9 p.m. Bette Midler's show will have her onstage as the clock strikes 12 midnight.
Bette Midler has been recording since the early '70s and has scored a number of major hits, including "Wind
Beneath My Wings" and "From a Distance." In addition to having an incredible recording career, this
multifaceted performer has appeared on Broadway, in film and on television. Her accomplishments include Academy
Award nominations for Best Actress for "The Rose" and "For The Boys," in which she also won
a Golden Globe.
The end of the '90s saw Bette performing in the HBO Special "Diva Las Vegas," which received 10 Emmy
nominations, the most for a special that year, and garnered Bette an award for her performance. Bette has also
starred in smash movies such as "Down and Out in Beverly Hills" and "The First Wives Club."

At 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 11, tickets will go on sale through the Mandalay Bay Events Center Box Office and at
all Ticketmaster outlets. To charge by phone, call Ticketmaster at 702/474-4000. Ticket prices for the New Year's
Eve show are priced at $500, $300 and $95. Tickets for the January 1 show are priced at $500, $200 and $95. All
seats are reserved. Each ticket will be a commemorative ticket suitable for framing. Also, included in the ticket
price will be New Year's Eve party favors.
