CHAMPION, PA -- At 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, January 1, 2000, a lucky couple will be the first in Western Pennsylvania to exchange vows in the new Millennium! The ceremony is being auctioned off by Seven Springs Mountain Resort.

The bidding process has started at $2,000, and the proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western Pennsylvania. Bids can be placed by fax to 814-352-7911 or by e-mail to wedding@7springs.com. To check the current top bid, log on to www.7springs.com or call 800-452-2223, extension 7757. The web site will have the bid information updated daily. The bidding process will end at Midnight, December 17.

The highest bid not only gets the chance to be the first couple married in the new Millennium, but they also receive a condominium at Seven Springs for the night of December 31 and a $1,000 credit toward the purchase of wedding bands from L.J. Marks Fine Jewelers.

Seven Springs and the Make-A-Wish Foundation are also giving people the opportunity to place a greeting to a relative or friend in the year 2025! Throughout 2000, Seven Springs will be collecting greetings for a Time Capsule. A $25 donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation allows you to drop a letter that will be mailed when the Time Capsule is opened in 2025. Donations will be taken throughout the year by the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southwestern Pennsylvania. The Time Capsule will be sealed on December 31, 2000. This is a great chance to send a message to a child or loved one in the future.

With the new Millennium, you will also have the chance to renew your wedding vows on Saturday, January 1, 2000. The special ceremony will take place during the Vogues show that evening.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southwestern Pennsylvania was established in May of 1983. Their mission statement is ``to grant the favorite wish of a child between the ages of 2-1/2 and 18 years of age with a life-threatening illness.'' To date, they have granted more than 3300 wishes of children of Southwestern Pennsylvania.

These special ways to celebrate the Millennium are made possible by Seven Springs Mountain Resort, 102.5 WDVE, Martini & Rossi, Bacardi, and L.J. Marks Fine Jewelers.
