TORONTO, Canada -- Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is offering guests special discounted rates and promotions at
six of the luxury hotel chain's Ontario and Quebec properties in celebration of the Canadian winter season.
Getaway packages at participating Fairmont properties offer guests the opportunity to experience a Canadian winter,
including skiing, shopping, snowshoeing, romance and culture at discounted prices throughout the winter months.
Properties included in the promotion are Le Chateau Frontenac, Le Manoir Richelieu, The Queen Elizabeth, Le Chateau
Montebello, Chateau Mont Tremblant and the Chateau Laurier.
In Quebec, Le Chateau Frontenac is offering a variety of winter escapes including a ``City Resort'' package for
the family. This package includes one night at Le Chateau Frontenac, buffet breakfast at the Cafe de la Terrasse
restaurant, tickets for the Dufferin Terrace toboggan run and passes for the Civilization Museum. Packages start
from $152 USD based on double occupancy and are valid until March 15, 2000.
For skiers, the ``Ski Package'' at Le Manoir Richelieu in Charlevoix offers the slopes of two great ski centres,
Mont Grands-Fonds or Le Massif. This package includes accommodations for one night, buffet breakfast, lift ticket
for Le Mont Grands-Fond or Le Massif (your choice), complimentary access to the skating rink, snow slide, cross-country
skiing and snowshoeing trails located on the site of the Manoir. Packages start at $140 USD based on double occupancy
and are available from December 15 to April 30, 2000.
If the culture of Montreal appeals to you, discover a destination with distinctive European flair unique to North

stores. The ``Sweet Deals A La Montreal'' package includes two night's accommodations, two 2-day museum passes
