ROYAL KONA RESORT TO ENHANCE ROOMS

Hawaiian Hotels & Resorts, full-service Royal Kona Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii has announced a new property
improvement program focusing on its guest rooms and selected public areas. Beginning June 1, the 452-room resort
overlooking Kailua Bay will be enhancing all of its ocean front and ocean view guest rooms with new carpeting,
new bedspreads, new mirrors, door signs and lampshades. New vinyl flooring and wallpaper will be added to guest
rooms baths as needed, and all partial ocean view, garden/mountain view and standard rooms the resort deems in
need of improvement will also be redecorated.
The guest rooms will be completed by December. The Royal Kona will also be re-carpeting its ocean front pool area
by July 1, and is currently adding decorative stripping to all of its stairways. The resort's three-building design
will allow the Royal Kona to carry out the enhancements with minimal interruption to guests.
