BOCA RATON, FL -- Bluegreen Corp. (NYSE: BXG), a leading developer and marketer of vacation ownership resorts,
golf communities and residential land, has hired Hollie Gilbert as vice president of brand marketing/Bass Pro.
In the new position, Gilbert will be responsible for overseeing Bluegreen's exclusive marketing affiliation with
Bass Pro Shops.
That 10-year, exclusive affiliation gives Bluegreen access to the customers of Bass Pro Shops and its affiliates,
Bass Pro Outdoor World, Bass Pro Catalogues, the Bass Pro Web site and Big Cedar Lodge on Table Rock Lake, MO.
Bluegreen's access to those customers will be via several channels, including 14 Bass Pro/Outdoor World stores,
the Bass Pro Web site, catalogues and media networks. The agreement is expected to give Bluegreen access to more
than 30 million potential customers in a competition-free environment.
Gilbert's initial focus will be on the affiliation with the 14 Bass Pro/Outdoor World stores, located in 13 U.S.
major metropolitan areas, as well as Islamorada, FL, a major fishing resort. Bluegreen has already introduced marketing
teams in three of the retail outlets, and more will be added in stores where it makes strategic sense to do so,
according to Gilbert.
Gilbert intends to develop other programs specifically targeted toward the Bass Pro catalogues and Web site, as
well. In addition, she will be looking for other major brands in the retail industry with which Bluegreen can form
strategic alliances for co-branding and cooperative opportunities.
Gilbert has more than 12 years of experience marketing vacation ownership products, including timeshare and fractional
interests. Before joining Bluegreen, Gilbert was vice president of direct marketing at The Owners Club by ClubCorp
in Dallas.
