Press Release
April 18, 2001
ORLANDO, FL -- One of the largest marketing communication firms in North America along with a company specializing
in the development of call center software management systems have announced their alliance with an Orlando area
vacation ownership resort as they introduce new web based marketing programs at the 2001 American Resort Development
Association (ARDA) convention in Orlando April 21-25. The programs have been created to help timeshare companies
produce more efficient prospects via direct response marketing techniques and web technology.
Combining their unique areas of expertise are: Revolve, an interactive marketing agency owned by Taylor Corporation
and based in Lake Mary, Florida; Stratasoft, a Houston-based call center technology developer; and Summer Bay Resort,
a single-site property located in Kissimmee, Florida. The trio will unveil their combined efforts this coming week
in Orlando at the Marriott World Center, site of ARDA's annual convention.
Specializing in integrated multi-channel marketing, Revolve has developed proprietary web-based marketing programs
specifically for the vacation ownership industry. According to Revolve President Joseph Duckett, "We have
taken the most effective mediums such as direct mail, telecommunications and the Internet and infused them with
innovative web based solutions to increase response and awareness."
Headquartered in Minnesota, Taylor Corporation is a privately held company that services over 750 companies of
the Fortune 1000 and consists of more than 90 companies worldwide. Services range from direct marketing, e-commerce,
printing, and fulfillment to ownership of the Minnesota Timberwolves NBA basketball team.
Summer Bay Resort is a 300-acre resort featuring 313 vacation ownership units as well as 20 single family residences,
sold by week intervals and points. Summer Bay is located in Kissimmee on US Highway 192 and has experienced dramatic
growth in its sales and marketing and resort development. During the past year, Summer Bay restructured its marketing,
sales, administration and operations and is undergoing a recent site expansion with more units scheduled for opening
this year. Adds Sandy Harris, Director of Marketing, "With the opening of our new welcome center, an attraction
itself, and high tech call center, we can no longer be considered Orlando's best kept secret."
Having worked with Revolve and Stratasoft for several years, Harris was responsible for bringing Revolve and Stratasoft
together with Summer Bay to serve as a Beta Test site for their combined programs. "After the roll out of
our program at ARDA," she continues, "developers will be able to have an actual turn key operation with
Revolve and Stratrasoft's programs supporting each other and helping to fulfill the developer's needs, even for
a single site developer like Summer Bay."
Adds Revolve's Joseph Duckett, "Not everyone in the vacation ownership industry is keen to new ideas, with
many continuing to use traditional marketing methods. Sandy's team was always looking for better ideas. We knew
this because of our established partnership with them. With this Partnership already in place, it was a great
fit and they were the ideal single site resort with which to move ahead."
Observes Harris, "As the vacation ownership industry has changed, so have our opportunities to reach prospects.
To stay ahead of these dramatic changes, we must utilize all avenues of direct response mediums. This new program
integrates direct mail, telecommunications, the Internet, and email. In combining our efforts, we believe our efficiencies
will soar and this new alliance will generate a new level of developing cost-effective prospects."
Stratasoft is a wholly owned subsidiary of Houston-based I-Sector Company (NASDAQ: ISEC), and has been recognized
by several call center publications as a leader in innovative software product development. Stratasoft is developing
all software components for the programs, and integrating them with Revolve's programs to support Summer Bay's
call center.
Stratasoft products used in the joint alliance program include a call center management system and an automatic
dialing system. Added John Wiley, Operations Manager, "Our products are customer driven and designed to maximize
productivity in any call center application. They are used by many different industries that depend on telecommunications
to maintain contact with their customer base or to develop market share."
