Press Release
October 15, 2001
LOS ANGELES, CA -- Over 100 live bidders along with forty-three mail-in and internet bidders produced a total of
81 timeshare sales at TRI West's 20th annual auction. It is important to note that this year's auction results
were similar to last years' despite the tragic events of the last few weeks.
"After 20 successful auctions, a live auction supported with mail-in bids and live internet chatters from
around the world is the only way to sell a large number of different resorts in different locations quickly and
at a fair market price," said auction sponsor Mario Collura of TRI West. According to Collura, 90% of the
sellers who attended the auction and followed the TRI West starting bid recommendations sold their timeshare week.
A total of eighty-one timeshares were sold with an average price of $2,018. Highest price paid was $5,675 for
6,000 credits at Worldmark The Club in Redmond, WA. Lowest price paid was $400 for a studio summer week at the
Palm Springs Tennis Club in PS, CA.
