WAIKOLOA, HI -- The Bay Club Ownership Resort announced today that it has decided to cancel the annual charity
tournament that is a fund raiser for the Waikoloa Junior Golf Program. Instead the Resort will be encouraging
people to participate in the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Golf Tournament on Friday, October 12 at the Kings’

“This year, following the terrible attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon we felt it would be more
appropriate to focus our energies on doing what we as a company and individuals could to help the victims of this
tragedy,” Koichi Tadokoro, The Bay Club’s Senior Vice President said. “The Bay Club and our employees are collecting
donations for the Red Cross. We are looking forward to making this contribution as a symbol of support for the
families and the thousands of people that were so tragically affected.”
“At The Bay Club we consider our employees and owners as part of our Ohana, which is the Hawaiian word for family,
togetherness, and sharing, ” Koichi commented. “Many members of our Ohana have been touched by the events of September
11, and in particular our hearts go out to the family and friends of Bay Club owner Delores Costa who was in
the World Trade Center at the time of the attack.”
