Tourism woes and concerns stemming from reduced airline activity have not put a halt to aggressive renovation plans
at various resorts in the desert.
Marriott’s Desert Springs Resort and Spa in Palm Desert, Merv Griffin’s Resort Hotel and Givenchy Spa in Palm Springs,
The Westin Mission Hills Resort and Golf Club in Rancho Mirage, the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort in Indian Wells
and the Hyatt Regency Suites Palm Springs are just some of the hotels that have been working on major renovation
projects this summer.
