Press Release
November 16, 2001
LAS VEGAS, NV -- Fairfield Resorts, Inc., one of the largest vacation ownership companies in the world, has announced
two new Las Vegas and Reno area appointments.
David LaBelle has been appointed vice president of sales for Fairfield Las Vegas at Harrah's, where he will oversee
all operations at the Fairfield sales center, located in Harrah's Las Vegas Casino & Hotel, with future additional
responsibilities associated with the company's continued westward expansion. He succeeds J. Greg Liddle, who will
now serve as director of sales at Fairfield Durango, where the company is actively pursuing development opportunities.
Also, Edward Rybar has been named director of sales at Fairfield Reno at Harrah's, where he will manage all operations
at the Fairfield sales center, located in Harrah's Reno, as well as support the development of new initiatives
in Nevada and other western states.
These appointments reflect the company's continued strategy to increase its presence in the western United States.
This past July, Fairfield opened its western regional office in Las Vegas, and celebrated the grand opening of
its flagship western resort, Fairfield Las Vegas at Grand Desert. The company's presence in the region was also
bolstered by the acquisition of Dolphin's Cove Resort in Anaheim, California, earlier this year. With exceptional
sales in several area locations, Fairfield's westward expansion will continue through 2002 with the construction
of a 17-story second tower at Las Vegas' Grand Desert.
"Our tremendous first-year success at Grand Desert and the growing popularity of Fairfield's other western
destinations is a strong indication of the consumer demand for high quality timeshare in this region," said
Bob Albertson, executive vice president of sales and marketing, Fairfield Resorts. "We believe substantial
opportunities exist for Fairfield to increase its presence in the west, and are assembling a dynamic team to pursue
multiple initiatives."
LaBelle joined Fairfield in 1995 as a sales executive at Fairfield's Williamsburg sales center, where he was named
Fairfield "Rookie of the Year." He most recently served as vice president of sales and marketing at
Fairfield Washington, D.C. Rybar started with Fairfield earlier this year as interim director of sales at Fairfield
Durango, and prior to Fairfield, spent ten years as sales manager and project director with Trendwest Resorts.
Liddle began his career at Fairfield in 1985 as a sales executive at Fairfield Pagosa in Colorado, where he was
promoted to sales manager in 1989. In addition to his most recent assignment in Las Vegas, Liddle has also previously
served Fairfield in a variety of positions in Williamsburg, Charlotte and Durango.
"David, Ed and Greg join an already outstanding regional team," said Albertson. "We look forward
to our continued success in these markets, and know their leadership will help further Fairfield's aggressive westward
expansion."
