WASHINGTON, DC -- Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE: MAR) announces significantly reduced leisure rates that make
holiday travel more affordable and reconnecting with long distance family and friends easy. Available seven days
a week at more than 1,500 participating hotels throughout the United States, the rates have been reduced as much
as 40 percent and are applicable for stays between Nov. 15, 2001, and Jan. 27, 2002.
In addition, guests paying with a Visa card before Dec. 15 will be automatically entered to win one of five trips
for two to the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, Utah. Also, Marriott Rewards members who pay with Visa
will receive double points and double night credit toward special elite status beginning with their second Visa-paid
stay through March 31, 2002.
