A Miami-based cruise line called ResidenSea may have created the ultimate concept in oceanfront vacation property. In December, the company will launch a new ship called The World of ResidenSea, whose 110 apartments or condos can be owned for a mere $2 million to $6.8 million each.

Ranging in size from 1,106 to 3,242 square feet, the apartments aboard The World have fully equipped kitchens, 2- 3 bedrooms (each with an en suite bathroom), living and dining room area, and a verandah with optional jet pool.

If they choose to, owners and their guests can live aboard the ship year-round, as it sails on a perpetual tour of the world's most exotic ports. Averaging 250 days per year in port, The World will anchor for extended stays at events such as the Cannes Film Festival, the Monaco Grand Prix, Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, and the Americas Cup yacht races.
