MIAMI, FL -- Interval International, the timeshare industry's leading vacation exchange company, has unveiled E-Exchange
through its members' Web site, IntervalWorld.com, setting the new gold standard for online vacation exchange.
"Online exchange extends our commitment to offering exceptional customer service, whether our members choose
to reach us by phone, e-mail, or through the Internet," said Craig M. Nash, chairman and chief executive officer
of Interval International. "Initial response indicates that our members welcome the opportunity to view resort
availability online, make exchanges themselves, and have around-the-clock, year-round access and response."
Offering advanced search capabilities, Interval's E-Exchange gives members a host of vacation options. Members
can view availability of exchanges, instantly confirm exchanges online, and review exchange history. They can
deposit their home resort units in anticipation of an exchange or relinquish these units when a vacation opportunity
is identified. If their initial request is not immediately available, members can place a pending vacation exchange
request.
Interval has also enhanced the members' online experience through simplified site navigation that organizes relevant
resort content and e-commerce functionality into topical channels, offering in-depth resort information and details,
as well as airline, hotel, and car rental reservations.
The result of a multi-year, multimillion-dollar investment and extensive market research and analysis, the self-service
platform was designed to augment peak period servicing and permit members to perform exchange at their convenience.
Interval has also initiated a dedicated Internet Support Department with specially trained counselors who will
respond exclusively to member e-mail and online help requests, using state-of-the-art customer relationship management
(CRM) technology.
