KAPAA, HI -- Shell Vacations Club has recently tapped Matt Ozelie for its top sales position at its Kauai Coast
Resort at the Beachboy on Kauai, Hawaii.
As General Sales Manager, Ozelie provides sales and marketing leadership for a sales team of about 35 employees. Ozelie and his staff will be directing sales of the company's point-based Shell Vacations Club on the island of Kauai.
A three-year veteran Shell Vacations employee, Ozelie previously worked in a senior sales management capacity as a sales manager at the Kauai Coast Resort. Prior to his transfer to Hawaii, he was a sales associate at Shell's Starr Pass resort in Tucson, Arizona and was assistant sales manager at the Cannery Preview Center in San Francisco, selling Shell's four San Francisco resorts.
Originally from Melbourne, Florida, Ozelie has nearly a decade of sales experience, serving in the vacation ownership arena since 1993 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
According to Robert Foster, Shell's new Regional Director Hawaii, "Matt Ozelie's proven sales leadership and loyalty will be a major asset as we continue to sell our popular Shell Vacations Club in the Hawaiian Islands."
Operated as a hotel since it was initially built in the 60s, Shell Vacations purchased the Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy in 2000 and recently completed a $10 million refurbishment of the property, converting the hotel's 233 units into 108 vacation ownership units with 69 one-bedrooms, 33 two-bedrooms and six hotel rooms. The resort is located on eight acres on the east side of the island, near the Coconut Marketplace and employs about 60 hospitality professionals.
