BARRIE, ONT. -- Mitch Stewart, Project Director of Carriage Hills Resort, was recently elected Chairman of the
Board of Directors of the Canadian Resort Development Association (CRDA) at its annual meeting in Vancouver, B.C.
As the CRDA Chairman, Stewart will also serve as Canada's representative to the Global Alliance for Timeshare Excellence (GATE) and will attend the Global Marketplace Session at the American Resort Development Association's annual conference in Orlando on April 21. CRDA is a founding partner in GATE.
Stewart has served as Project Director of Shell Vacations' Carriage Hills Resort for the past three and a half years and has an extensive background in the vacation ownership industry encompassing 25 years.
Located on a ridge overlooking the golf course and ski hills of the 1,600-acre Horseshoe Valley Resort just north of Barrie, Ontario, Carriage Hills is Ontario's premier vacation ownership resort. It is jointly owned by Shell Vacations, LLC, one of North America's largest independent vacation ownership developers and Horseshoe Resort Corporation.
Carriage Hills Resort encompasses 172 two-bedroom vacation residences and was recently named a Gold Crown Resort, the top honor for a property within the international RCI exchange organization.
