March 21, 2001
HONOLULU, HI -- Richard Thomas Reep, AIA, has joined Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo (WATG) as design services director. Based in the firm's Honolulu office, Richard's primary responsibility will be the design of hotel and timeshare projects.

A graduate of University of Florida with a Master of Architecture degree, Reep, over the past 16 years, has been responsible for concept design, management, and construction administration on complex, mixed-use resort projects worldwide-many of them timeshare properties. He has participated in many different project types, including ski/mountain resorts, beach resorts, golf resorts, and international projects overseas, principally in Asia. Before joining WATG, Richard was director of architecture at Marriott Vacation Club International in Orlando, Florida, where he authored concept designs, facilities programs and graphic standards.

"Richard's extensive knowledge of the resort and timeshare business complements and reinforces WATG's strength in the hospitality and leisure industry," says Don Lee, managing director of WATG's Honolulu office. "We are delighted that he has chosen to join us."

In addition to his accomplishments as an architect, Richard is also an artist with a lifelong interest in Asia. His work was recently featured in a solo exhibit in New York City, and has been exhibited in galleries in Bangkok, Orlando, and Jacksonville, Florida.

Founded in 1945, WATG is the world's number one designer of hotels and resorts, with projects in 120 countries and territories on six continents. The firm has offices in Honolulu, Newport Beach, Los Angeles, London and Singapore.
