NORTHBROOK, IL -- Arthur Zimand has joined Shell Vacations LLC's Executive team in the capacity of "Advisor
to the Board" according to Managing Director, Perry J. Snyderman. In his new role, Zimand will provide assistance
with the development of company-wide sales and marketing strategies and programs as well as serving as advisor
to Shell's Executive Board.
"Having worked with Art during our Vistana days, we know him to be clearly one of the industry's original
pioneers and we are delighted to be able to tap once again into his in-depth industry knowledge and expertise in
the sales and marketing arena" said Perry Snyderman.
Zimand will work closely with Simon Crawford-Welch, Ph.D., RRP, Shell's Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing
in both the refinement of existing sales and marketing programs and the development and implementation of new programs.
"With over 27 years of development and senior level sales and marketing experience in the vacation ownership
industry, Art brings a
tremendous wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. We are fortunate to have him on board," added Crawford-Welch.
Zimand most recently devoted a year as Chairman of the Executive Committee and Director for Island One Resorts,
where he was involved with branding Island One Resorts with Ron Jon Resorts, the first non-hospitality branding
in the industry as well as assisting Island One with their Carlson Companies alliance. Zimand is best known for
his 15 years as one of the original founding partners of Vistana Resorts along with Snyderman and Sheldon Ginsburg,
where he served as President and CEO of Vistana, with his major emphasis in the design, implementation and management
of a sales and marketing operation. Zimand also served on the Board of Directors of the American Resort Development
Association (ARDA) and was co-chairman of its Sales & Marketing Task Force. He has been active in ARDA almost
since its inception.
Zimand adds that he is "very excited to be working once again with Perry and Shelly and looks forward to his
new relationship with Simon Crawford-Welch and the entire senior management team of Shell Vacations." He will

On a community level, in his hometown of Orlando, Zimand was a founding director of Security National Bank and
sat on the trustee boards of Orlando Regional Health Care System and the Hamilton Holt School at Rollins College.
He was a Board Member of the Give Kids the World Foundation, the Orlando Museum of Arts, and a previous board member
of the Atlantic Center of Arts.
