Billups Forms Consulting Firm

FORT MYERS, FL -- A veteran of over two decades of resort management experience in the vacation ownership industry has recently announced the formation of a firm to provide consulting services in the field of resort owners association management.

The Billups Group Inc., founded by Reginald (Reg) D. Billups, PCAM, will assist resort associations, management companies and developers by providing needed resort association expertise. Examples of some of the services provided include: Owner's Association Operations Audits, Recreation Programs, Risk Management, Association Board Relations, Owner Communications, Owner's Association Training for Resort Managers, Front Desk Operations Audits and Reserve Audits.

During his 22-year career in the vacation ownership industry, Billups has served as Vice President of Mariner Services Corp., where he directed the management of 17 resort operations in Southwest Florida. Most recently, he was Director of Property Management for Hilton Grand Vacations Company, responsible for owner association business operations for all of the company's managed and developed resorts. Billups has served as National Chairman of the Resort Committee of the Community Associations institute (CAI) and as a member of that organization's National Board of Trustees. He is a member of the American Resort Development Association's (ARDA) Resort Management Committee and was named the gold winner in ARDA's international competition as the top Resort Management Executive. He has also served on the Florida State Condominium Advisory Council and was appointed by the Governor of Florida to the State Regulatory Council of Community Association Managers, currently serving as Vice Chairman.

Prior to his affiliation with the vacation ownership industry, he held managerial positions with AT&T in Washington, D.C. and holds a Bachelor's degree from West Virginia State University and attended graduate school at George Washington University. He has earned the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation from CAI, where he authored "Managing The Timeshare Association" as a partial requirement for the awarding of the designation.
