The Canyons has stolen a march from Old Town's Main Street, announcing that NBC's Today Show has selected the resort
as the site for its Olympic broadcast center, according to a news release from the resort Thursday.
The morning news program currently ranked no. 1 in television-viewer ratings will build a live studio in the mezzanine
of the Grand Summit Resort Hotel to be used before and during the Olympics, The Canyons said.
Each of our site selection visits to The Canyons reconfirmed to us how beautiful the place is and how well it would
fit into our plans, Today Show's senior production manager David Naggiar was quoted as saying in a Canyons news
release. We could not imagine any better place for us to do our show during the upcoming Winter Olympics from Salt
Lake City.
