After nine hours of debate and review Wednesday, the city Planning Commission approved developer Bill Levy's most
recent plan to redevelop lower State Street with time-share condos and retail shops.
In a 4-3 nighttime vote, the seven-member appointed panel that helps steer local development put the project --
dubbed Entrada de Santa Barbara -- one step closer to construction.
In separate action, the commission approved a court-ordered environmental impact report released in February that
declared Entrada will not block any important mountain views.
