Sugarbush replaces popular lift

WARREN – When skiers return to Sugarbush Resort in Warren this winter, they will find a new Castlerock Double chairlift, ski area officials said Friday.

The State Tramway Board, which inspects ski lifts annually, has ordered Sugarbush to replace the 42-year-old Castlerock chairlift, said Sugarbush Managing Director Bruce McCloy.

“We have to replace that lift this year,” said McCloy.
