BEIRUT, LEBANON -- World Class Vacation Owners Club has affiliated its newest Timeshare resort in Lebanon, sources say, and have appointed Platinum International to market the luxury bungalows and its travel agency 360 TravelScape to manage the reservations.

Platinum International, with offices in Europe and the GCC, are in a unique position to use their twenty years of Timeshare Industry experience to further place Lebanon as a new vacation destination internationally.

The Platinum Group employs over 350 personnel and consultants worldwide. Its core business is creating and selling lifestyle marketing products and leisure travel services.

The new resort, "World Class Resort at Sun City", located in the mountains of Aljaltoun, Lebanon, "has the most superb amenity package of any resort in the country", says Bassam Nakad, Project Director for Platinum. The complex includes its own indoor Tennis court, swimming pools, spas and full health club including Jacuzzis and squash courts and children's nursery.

Outdoor activities for guests include horseback riding, tennis and mini-golf, with a planned water park to be added soon.

"Now members of the World Class Vacation Owners Club will finally have an amazing location and vacation experience in Lebanon "added Mike Tolan, President and CEO of the group.

World Class locations include Thailand, Philippines, UK, Spain, and Australia. Platinum is marketing also to travel agents in Europe using the slogan "The New Destination, the New Lebanon" as tour operators through its independently owned IATA agency.

The resort is fully built and ready for soft occupancy March 1, 2001.

Guests will be able to book special excursions on site and will be treated to the "Rediscover Lebanon Card" free of charge, giving them special discounts on many restaurants and shops in Lebanon throughout the year.

Platinum will turn to the travel agency network it has created to sell the room nights throughout the Middle East and Europe using methods such as the Internet. Platinum agents have enrolled several thousand families over the years in various vacation ownership schemes and will utilize these databases for target marketing for its new resort in Lebanon. "The Discovery of Lebanon's Holy Sites" tour package is now available and is a growing popular choice for religious tours. Because the climate in Lebanon is so versatile, it makes the region a sea and ski destination simultaneously during specific seasons.

"This is the model which other companies will follow to use in the future to market vacation ownership products", says Tolan, "as well as other innovative marketing programs that deliver value to consumers." Travel agencies throughout the region will be invited for free mini- stays before April 15 to better acquaint them with the product.

A web site has been created to also showcase the resort and the clubs around the world www.lebanon-timeshare.com
