BARRIE, ON -- July 31, 2001 - Carriage Hills Resort and Shell Vacations have announced the recent opening of a
satellite telemarketing office in Walkerton, Ontario. The telemarketing office is expected to generate prospective
customers from Ontario and New York to its Barrie vacation ownership resort and its Niagara Falls Preview Center.
The downtown Walkerton office is headed by Sheryl Campbell, Call Center Manager, who was previously employed in
sales and marketing at Carriage Hills Resort. The office is staffed by 16 telemarketing professionals.
According to Brad Noble, Director of Marketing for Carriage Hills Resort, "We selected Walkerton as the location
for this office due to the core group of highly dedicated personnel who are committed to serve our resort with
the highest professional standards of excellence. We intend to expand the operation to 30 telemarketers in the
near future." The selection of Walkerton for this office is expected to have a positive impact on the small
town, which has a population of about 4,500. Open in early July, the Walkerton office operates five days a week.
The 1,600-acre Horseshoe Valley Resort just north of Barrie, Ontario, features golf and ski activities as well
as Carriage Hills Resort, Ontario's premier vacation owner-ship resort. It is jointly owned by Horseshoe Resort
Corporation and Shell Vacations, LLC. With nine off site Preview Centers and 14 vacation ownership resorts in California,
