Mas Imai Promoted to Executive Vice President of Disneyland International and Walt Disney Attractions Japan

BURBANK, CA -- Mas Imai, formerly senior vice president, has been promoted to executive vice president of Disneyland International and Walt Disney Attractions Japan, it was announced yesterday by Jim Cora, chairman of Disneyland International.

Imai, 53, will oversee the day-to-day management of Disneyland International and Walt Disney Attractions Japan, including the continuing relationship with the Oriental Land Co. Ltd., the owner and operator of the Tokyo Disney Resort.

``Mas brings an incredible amount of international business experience to this job,'' said Cora. ``I am pleased that we have an opportunity to leverage Mas' extensive experience in international business affairs and his in-depth knowledge of Disney operations, particularly as it relates to our international business.''

Over the course of his 22-year Disney career, Imai held positions of increasing responsibility, including director of Financial Affairs and Administration for Walt Disney Attractions Japan, where he was responsible for all financial activities of the Japan subsidiary and functioned as Disney adviser to numerous divisions of Oriental Land Co. Ltd. in support of Tokyo Disneyland operations.

Prior to joining Disney, Imai served in the United States Navy, where he flew as flight engineer assigned to the Commander in Chief of Pacific Forces and other state dignitaries and VIPs.

Imai holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University at Los Angeles. He will be based in Tokyo.
