BRUSSELS -- Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts marks its entry into the North African market, by raising the flag
on its Sharm El Sheikh property in Egypt. The owner of the property, El Dahabia for Touristic Resorts E.P.C, Egypt,
invested US$45 million for the development of this unique and stylish resort.
This move is in line with the chain's Middle East and North Africa (MENA) expansion strategy to have ten properties
in Egypt by 2003. In addition to the Radisson SAS Resort in Sharm El Sheikh, two new properties are scheduled to
open in Taba and Hurghada early next year and an additional one in Al Quesir by 2003.
Radisson SAS Golden Resort
Located in Nabq Bay, on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula on the Red Sea shore, just ten-minutes drive from
the local airport, this five star property offers 328 beautifully appointed guest rooms and suites in Tropical,
Arabian and Marina Club themes. More than thirty acres of landscape gardens with waterfalls, rivers, 22 individually
designed bridges and a variety of over 100 types of tropical plants and trees offer unique surroundings.
The resort has a wide variety of restaurants and bars, many overlooking the Red Sea. Among the 13 outlets are the
all-day specialty and Italian seafood restaurant, the French Brasserie, Lebanese Jeita, a Lobby Lounge and a tropical
pool bar.
The Resort's Spa has three separate saunas and steam rooms, in addition to a fully equipped gymnasium, an aerobics
studio, a luxury yet massage Jacuzzi, as well as massage and special treatment rooms.
There are also three swimming pools, a 220-metre private white sandy beach, right on the sparkling waters of the
Red Sea, three floodlit tennis courts, a beach volleyball court and jogging tracks.
A heaven for water sports, the resort has its own diving center at one of the world's best snorkeling and diving
destinations with stunning reefs, mysterious shipwrecks and an abundance of coral and exotic fish.
Magic Meetings
Three fully equipped conference rooms hosting up to 250 people and a 200-seat open-air theatre for live shows and
entertainment make the resort ideal for conferences, corporate meetings and conventions.

resort is a milestone for our regional operations as we expand our reach and activities into a new market and segment.
