DALLAS, TX -- The Wyndham Anatole Hotel is aggressively spearheading and supporting several local cultural and economic initiatives to ensure Dallas' continued viability as a leading U.S. city.

Named the overall best city for business in North America by Fortune Magazine in 1999, Dallas continues to attract and retain numerous industry- leading companies. Not surprising, that the population is rapidly growing as well. According to the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce, the Dallas area has experienced a 21 percent population growth rate in the last decade, and now ranks among the top U.S. cities for African-American (10th), Hispanic (11th) and Asian (17th) populations.

To recognize this period of change and progress and to propel future city growth, the Wyndham Anatole Hotel, the Southwest's largest convention hotel, is promoting Dallas through a number of local initiatives including:

-- Dallas Soars!: To support the upcoming public art exhibition and
cultural tourism initiative that will place as many as 200 Pegasus
horse statues across Dallas, the Wyndham Anatole Hotel is sponsoring a
horse decorated in an Asian art theme. The property currently boasts
the largest and most extensive private art and antique collection ever
assembled for a U.S. hotel, the majority of which is Asian art donated
from the Trammell and Margaret Crow private collection. By sponsoring
a horse of the same theme, the hotel hopes to continue promoting the
influx of Asian art culture into the city of Dallas.
-- Dallas Stars and the 2001 Face-Off Luncheon: An official sponsor for
the team, the hotel also is the title sponsor and site of the Wyndham
Anatole/Dallas Stars Face-Off Luncheon 2001 to be held Oct. 1. The
luncheon, featuring Dallas Stars players, Coach Ken Hitchcock, and
General Manager Bob Gainey, offers fans a glimpse of the upcoming
hockey season with all proceeds to benefit the Dallas Stars
Foundation. Guests also will have the opportunity to view Wyndham's
new "The Room That Performs," which is comprised of new pillow-top
mattresses, luxury bedding including Joseph Abboud pillows, high-tech
cordless telephone and ergonomically designed Herman Miller Aeron(R)
chair, with high-speed Internet access coming soon.
-- Dallas Market Center Square Initiative: Recognizing Dallas' attraction
as a leading meeting and convention city, the Wyndham Anatole Hotel
has joined with neighboring hotels and meeting facilities to form
Dallas Market Center Square (DMCS), which offers meeting planners and
attendees one convenient campus. Led by the Dallas Convention &
Visitors Bureau, the DMCS is a hotel co-op adjacent to downtown Dallas
offering nearly 1.7 million square feet of total meeting and exhibit
space and more than 3,000 guest rooms. The DMCS is comprised of the
Dallas Market Center and seven hotels including the 1,620-room Wyndham
Anatole, 184-room Marriott Courtyard, 117-room Marriott Fairfield Inn,
266-room Marriott Suites, 540-room Renaissance Dallas Hotel, 228-room
Wyndham Garden Hotel and the 250-room Sheraton Suites.
-- Golden Door(R) Spa at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel: Dallas-based Wyndham
International has selected the Wyndham Anatole Hotel as the first
urban Golden Door Spa location. Modeled after the original, Wyndham-
owned Golden Door Spa in Escondido, Calif., the new, $4 million,
35,000-square-foot spa is set to open July 2002, and will offer guests
and Dallas residents the relaxing experience of a world-class, luxury
spa in the heart of the city.

``As a Dallas icon for more than 20 years, we recognize the importance and long-term value of promoting the Dallas economy,'' said Marc L. Messina, vice president and general manager of the Wyndham Anatole Hotel. ``So whether it's being the official hotel of the Dallas Stars or sponsoring a Pegasus horse for the Dallas Soars! project, the Wyndham Anatole is committed to initiatives that drive additional tourism revenues to the city.''
