LAS VEGAS, NV -- On Friday, October 19, the entire gaming world will be in one place, hanging on every word spoken
by casino legend Steve Wynn as he addresses attendees of the 15th annual World Gaming Congress and Expo (WGCE)
at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.
Wynn will share his views on the future direction of Las Vegas, the world's gaming capital. He is expected to reveal
more detail about his vision for the project planned for the site of the Desert Inn. That project, Wynn promises,
will rival his last creation, the billion-dollar Bellagio.
Wynn's visions have sparked previous building booms in Las Vegas, which is why he is widely credited with almost
single-handedly created the living extravaganza that is Las Vegas today. When his flagship property, the Mirage,
first opened in 1993, it ignited a $12 billion building boom and transformed the city into the fastest growing
metropolis and most popular tourist destination in the country. Another boom in construction began when Wynn announced
his Treasure Island resort, and analysts are predicting more of the same after work begins at the Desert Inn property.

Wynn joins fellow WGCE keynote speakers Erin Brockovich and newly elected NIGA chairman Ernest L. Stevens, Jr.
Stevens speaks on Wednesday, October 17 and Brockovich on Thursday, October 18. All addresses are scheduled for
9:00 a.m.
Wynn will also be the focus of the cover story for the October edition of the gaming trade magazine International
Gaming and Wagering Business (IGWB).
