Press Release: Wyndham International, Inc.
November 19, 2001
DALLAS, TX -- Wyndham International, Inc. (NYSE:WYN), the largest upscale hotelier in the Caribbean, has announced that the company will convert the Sunshine Suites Resort Grand Cayman to the Wyndham brand in December 2001.

The newly named Sunshine Suites Resort- A Summerfield Suites® by Wyndham is located on Grand Cayman Island in the British West Indies.

``In the midst of a tightening economy, it's important that Wyndham continues its plans for strategic growth in the all-suite hotel segment,'' said Fred J. Kleisner, chairman and chief executive officer for Wyndham. ``Wyndham's expansion into the Cayman Islands will prepare the company for the next resurgence of leisure travel. In addition, we will now be able to offer travelers to the Cayman Islands a trusted brand name, as well as the valuable personalized service and amenities only offered at Wyndham.''

Grand Cayman is one of three coral islands set in the northwest Caribbean Sea and is famous for its underwater beauty and friendly, inviting culture. Centrally located in the heart of the Seven Mile Beach area, Wyndham's Sunshine Suites Resort is near some of the island's hottest attractions, including the award-winning 18-hole golf course, The Links at Safehaven. Travelers can also enjoy a number of water sports and explore the area's world-class shopping and fine restaurants.

Ideal for families and extended stays, the Sunshine Suites Resort features 130 fully-furnished one-bedroom, deluxe and studio suites, each equipped with a full-size kitchen, plush tropical interiors, work areas with dataport phones and voice mail, and cable television featuring movie channels and financial news. Other features of the property include an executive boardroom and fresh-water pool as well as easy access to Seven Mile Beach, picnic areas, downtown and Eats Cafe, the island's most popular casual restaurant.

The resort is owned and managed by Sunshine Suites Ltd. Resort President, Robert Clements commented, ``We looked at many opportunities to affiliate our Grand Cayman resort with an internationally recognized hotel brand that would share our dedication to taking care of the guest. Wyndham's industry-leading programs and proven track record in the Caribbean made them the obvious choice for our property. We are pleased and proud to be a member of the Wyndham Caribbean resort family.''

As a hotel brand focused on empowering guests to customize their hotel experience by posing the question ``What's your request?,'' guests of the resort will now be offered enhanced personalized guest services each and every time they stay at the Sunshine Suites or any other Wyndham-branded property by joining Wyndham ByRequest(SM), the brand's unique guest recognition program.
