NAPLES, FL -- The Tourism Alliance of Collier County, Florida has launched a new marketing campaign for the Greater
Naples, Marco Island and The Everglades region with the signature tag line Classic Florida.
The campaign includes a newly launched Web site, www.ClassicFlorida.com,
a summer cooperative advertising campaign for tourism partners and a new video library highlighting scenes from
the beautifully diverse region.
``The Greater Naples, Marco Island and The Everglades region has all the elements of a Classic Florida vacation
combined within close proximity,'' said Kathy Prutos, President of the Tourism Alliance of Collier County. ``We
believe the Classic Florida identity speaks to the uniqueness of the region, allowing each person to dream about
and then visit their favorite aspect of Florida, all within minutes of each other here in Collier County.''
The Classic Florida region includes beautiful Gulf beaches, quaint Old Florida villages, an abundance of golf courses,
five-star elegance, shopping opportunities ranging from discount to ultra-luxury products, incredible fishing,
a wide variety of eco-tourism and nature opportunities, fun and enriching attractions and cultural pursuits, along
with the magic and mystery of The Everglades and the Ten Thousand Islands, filled with wildlife and backwoods adventure.
The ClassicFlorida.com Web site includes information on hotel and tourism partner values, events in the region,
and an extensive list of activities available for visitors to explore and information to assist in planning their
next visit. An extensive photo gallery is on display in the site's press room, which is also accessible to the
general public and travel agents as well as new media. The site also lists the latest statistics and information
regarding tourism in Collier County.
Classic Florida encompasses Greater Naples, Marco Island and The Everglades in Collier County on Florida's southwest
coast. The area ranges from the western Gulf Beaches to the cattle ranches, farms and nature preserves of Immokalee
in the east, and from the southern reaches of The Everglades and Ten Thousand Islands to North Naples. Promotion
