Host Marriott Acquires Minority Interests in Partnerships Owning Seven Marriott Hotels

BETHESDA, MD -- Host Marriott Corporation (NYSE: HMT) has announced that it recently acquired for approximately $60 million from Wyndham International minority interests held by Wyndham in several partnerships that own seven Marriott hotels. Host Marriott affiliates previously owned from 48% to 95% interests in these partnerships. As a result of the acquisition, Host Marriott now owns 100 percent of the interests in the partnerships owning four of the hotels and a 97.5 percent interest in the partnership owning the other three properties. Host Marriott affiliates will remain the managing partners of these partnerships.
