Press Release
July 6, 2001
DALLAS, TX -- Members of Aeroplan, Air Canada's frequent flyer program, can now earn airline miles for staying
at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Summerfield Suites by Wyndham properties.
In celebration of the new partnership, Aeroplan members who stay at any participating Wyndham property from now
through Sept. 30, 2001, and pay a qualifying rate will receive up to 2,500 Aeroplan miles.
``We are always looking for ways to further expand our brand presence in the Canadian market,'' said Dave Johnson,
executive vice president, sales and marketing, and chief marketing officer for Wyndham. ``As our portfolio of upscale
hotels has grown, Wyndham has sought out new partners, like Air Canada, that give customers both added value and
flexibility when traveling, particularly to major cities where Wyndham has a major presence like Toronto, Chicago,
Miami, Montreal, Los Angeles and throughout the Caribbean.''
Through Sept. 30, guests paying a qualifying rate at any Wyndham Hotels & Resorts property will receive 1,500
miles per stay. For the same time period, Summerfield Suites by Wyndham guests will receive 1,500 miles for a stay
consisting of one to four nights, 2,000 miles per stay for five to 29 nights and 2,500 miles per stay for 30 or
more nights.
Beginning Oct. 1, guests can still earn award mileage, but at the standard award levels: 500 miles per stay at
any Wyndham Hotels & Resorts property. Summerfield Suites by Wyndham guests will earn 500 miles for a stay
consisting of one to four nights; 1,000 miles per stay for five to 29 nights; and 1,500 miles per stay for 30 or
more nights.
