SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- LodgeNet Entertainment Corporation (Nasdaq: LNET), a leading provider of broadband, interactive television to the hospitality industry, today announced it has broken through the 800,000 mark for hotel guest rooms. The rooms represent more than 5,000 hotels, making LodgeNet the world's largest interactive television provider in terms of properties served.

As of December 31, 2000, LodgeNet delivered interactive (guest pay) and/or free-to-guest television services to approximately 807,000 hotel rooms in the United States, Canada and 13 other countries served by international licensees. More than 725,000 rooms feature one or more of LodgeNet's interactive guest pay services including on-demand movies and Nintendo® video games (provided in more than 700,000 interactive rooms).
