SPOKANE, WA -- WestCoast Hotels is proud to announce the rollout of WestAwards(TM), a new rewards program that
allows guests to earn points toward complimentary hotel nights, air travel, car rentals, entertainment tickets
and gift certificates at popular retail stores throughout the West such as Nordstrom, Costco and The Sharper Image.
With every eligible dollar spent at over 40 participating hotels, members earn WestAwards points. Each dollar equals
10 points at the WestAwards Guest Membership level, with hotel stay redemption beginning at just 15,000 points.
Frequent WestAwards guests will be eligible for Gold or Platinum status, making it possible to accumulate points
faster.
Enrolling is easy when guests enroll online at www.westawards.com. From
now until June 30, 2001, new members who enroll online will receive 1,000 bonus points. Guests may also enroll
by contacting the WestAwards Guest Service Center at 800-325-4000 or by visiting any WestCoast Hotel.
WestAwards Gold Members (staying 12 qualifying nights in a calendar year) will receive 12.5 points per dollar spent
and special privileges such as complimentary continental breakfast (available at most hotels), newspaper, and local
phone calls at no charge. Gold members also enjoy no additional charge for a second person in room, free incoming
faxes, check cashing authority up to $200, and a special WestAwards hotline for making reservations.
WestAwards Platinum Members (staying 25 qualifying nights in a calendar year) will receive all the benefits of
the Gold status, as well as 500 air miles with each stay in addition to points, 15 points per dollar spent, late
check out privileges, and priority reservations 48 hours in advance.
WestAwards airline partners include Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air, Delta Airlines, and American Airlines.
