NEW YORK, NY -- McCann-Erickson New York has announced that it has been named to handle business advertising responsibility
for six Marriott International (NYSE: MAR) brands. The brands are Marriott Hotels, Resorts and Suites, Courtyard
by Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott, Fairfield Inn by Marriott, TownePlace Suites by Marriott, and SpringHill
Suites by Marriott. Billings were not disclosed.
McCann had previously handled advertising for Marriott from mid 1995 to mid 1999 when the two companies mutually
agreed to part ways. Said Eric Keshin, General Manager of McCann New York, ``Although Marriott's marketing priorities
changed, we never stopped believing that we are the right agency for them, and we never lost touch with them. We
are absolutely delighted that we will be working together again.''
In addition to the new U.S. Marriott assignment, McCann continues to handle Marriott pan-regionally through offices
in London, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Mexico City.
Lowe Lintas & Partners, which had handled Courtyard by Marriott, will pick up the leisure market portion of
all Marriott brands. Siegelgale will continue to handle Renaissance Hotels, Resorts and Suites.
